Clear, pale gold, slightly reddish-hued beer. Looks just a little rusty. Moderate head settles to nuthin' but a thin ring, but still comes up with some wispy lace. Nose is mostly malty, but with a sharp edged dose of alcohol. Hop bitterness up front with a mildly malty finish. Subtle underlying sweetness. Rather crisp and dry without the heavy handed juiciness of a lot of kölsches I've had. Fruity, but noticeable alcohol. Mostly good, just the alcohol a little too prominent for my taste.
