Just noted the beer was dated 5/21 so I'll hafta re-review with some fresh ones from the brewery. But I'm likin' it, gotta say it's aged well. It's 5.9%, 8 months old. Go figure. Good drinkin' beer.

Smooth IPA with great body body, smooth ending and surprisingly refreshing. Toll Gate is aptly named!

Dirty copper color and crystal clear. Long lasting head which provides some streaks for lace.
Strong weedy hop nose. The malt holds up,though, with some light caramel, earthiness. In a word, chewy.
The flavor starts with straight up darker biscuits and then the weeds come in strongly. Long "green" vegetal bitter aftertaste. The body leans thin with a correspondingly leaning high carbonation. The beer is complex and easy to drink. Not quite world-class but pretty close. Worth trying if you visit the Turtle Swamp Brewery.

Crowler fresh from the brewery today
Poured into a Sam Adam as glass
Translucent, light tea colored liquid, some carbonation , two finger off white, dense, soapy foam cap, great lacings
Aroma is earthy, floral, fruity, whiff of spice
Taste is earthy hops over a malt base
Hop nibbles, doesn’t bit. No sudsing but not flat
Good beer

Nice classic British IPA. Nice change of pace and good for multiple drinks at 5.9 abv. Good stuff all around, although I think the Crowler format I had it in sapped it of some of its body.
