Canned 2021/08/04, hopefully this is better than the last beer
Pours a frothy 1.5 finger head with moderate retention, mostly clear slight hazy orange to amber color

Nose sweet malt, amber slight toasted malt, floral hop, a bit perfumey like rose water notes as well, a touch soapy, with herbal but fruity hops as well, sweet candy malt notes

Taste brings more sweet malt notes, mild sweet amber toasty malts, little candy malt, fair hops but low bitterness, little herbal floral, a bit more rose water, little fruity as well, fair herbal hop notes late, med dry finish, grassy herbal hops late with some fruity esters

Mouth is med bod, med foamy carb

Overall actually not bad, not really bitter but herbal grassy floral hops are decent, fruity esters and malts are nice, so in general a decent bitter

On draft at Oscar’s in Dedham; enjoyed a few 16oz pours.

Caramel copper hue with moderate clarity. Thin white head that lingered throughout.

Aroma of tea, pear, toasted malt, caramel, toffee. Hops are there and it’s more floral than piney on the nose.

Taste follows suit with a nice bready opening, pear and apple middle followed by sweet biscuit and a bitter kiss on the cheek.

Easy drinking, smooth, with a substantial taste and body for the ABV. Great brew. Quintessential session beer.

The beer pours a Clear copper orange with a massive fluffy white head. It has medium high carbonation. The beer smells of biscuit, caramel, toffee, and pine. It tastes of biscuit, caramel, toffee, some bitterness, with some pine. The mouthfeel is light, clean, and crisp with a dry finish. This is a solid bitter, but doesn’t have much going on.

Pours deep darker copper. Clear. Nice off white head. Good ring lacing despite being served in a clear plastic glass.

Strong caramel aroma, but not sweet. Low hop presence.

The taste is very "clean" with a clear caramel and crystal malt initial flavor. I also get darker biscuit and lighter earth tones. The hop, while lighter than most American versions of a Bitter, is actually closer to the English version, maybe even a little hoppier. Full bodied with a lower (again, like the English style) carbonation. Overall, this is an excellent example of a true ESB. If reminds me of the Tremont Ale from decades before.

Crowler poured into a snifter

Translucent brewed tea like appearance, pencil thin one finger foam cap quickly settles to a ring

Fresh beer aroma , apple wine aroma , yeasty

Malty , whiff of yeast flavor, whiff of apple fruit

Good sudsing, bit of tartness , slight lingering bitterness , dry finish

Nice beer
