Our New England IPA and our newest beer. Yes...this is the citrus bomb New England style IPA, that the good people of JP have demanded. Orange Line is named after the iconic train of JP and features a unique variety of Citra hops that gives a unique orange citrus quality to the aroma and taste. This is a silky smooth ale with strong citrus aromas from the crazy triple dose of dry hopping of our Citra variety in the hop back and all throughout fermentation. Take the Orange Line to Turtle Swamp's taproom and try an Orange Line IPA...the ride is worth it.

On tap at Turtle Swamp Brewing in Boston, MA.
This one pours a dirty looking dark-ish orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like slightly funky orange, perfume, soap, and caramel malt.
This is pretty messy overall. There’s some definite perfumey, syrupy, and soapy flavors here, with only a bit of orange-y hop character that tastes any good. There’s also too much malt sweetness overall.
This is lighter bodied, but kind of astringent and just not all that drinkable.
This appears to be the flagship for this brewery, but it’s just not all that good.

Very aggressive flavor. Overbearing in your front taste profile

On-tap 11/19/2021 at Jillian’s in Somerset, MA, served in a snifter glass.
A: The beer is a dark gold color, with a short dense off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains citrus, floral hops and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel and citrus. Then a decent hops presence comes in. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is sweet and slightly hoppy.
M: Smooth and crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, good kick, decent representation of style. This is a solid IPA to drink for a while.

Smooth, yes. Hazy, too. And definitely orange. But did they forget to put the hops in? More sweet than anything.

What a terrible beer by a terrible brewery. To give them credit though, the beer does look like beer.

It's a great beer, flavorful and goes down smooth. Had it from the tap at the squealing pig in Boston. I had 4 of these and a shot and for me that was too much. But I will buy this if I see it at the store.

Canned two weeks ago.
Immensely turbid orange appearance that actually looks quite appealing. Lots of pineapple and apricot. Pretty solid offering all around

Head disappeared quickly and is an almost murky ruddy Brown. Smell has some nice zesty orange notes and along with some slightly out of place mint notes. Taste is strangely mojito without the rum. Not bad, but the body is really heavy and I’m not sure it should be this flat
