16oz can. Cloudy amber, small bubbly head. Malty aroma, sweet, some gingerbread notes. Taste is more sweet malts, ginger, light spicy. Almost halfway to pumpkin beer territory.

L: Amber/copper cloudy pour, one inch creamy (color and consistency) head, decent retention.
S: Doughy and toasted bread malt, fresh spicy hops, rain water.
T: Bread malt, spicy and floral hops, balanced to hoppy, sharp overall, assertively bitter finish.
F: Light-medium body, high carbonation, crisp frothy feel, a little chewy.
O: Thin malt profile but a decent Marzen nonetheless.

A: Pours a clear medium to dark mahogany in color with moderate to heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate ruby red + burnt orange + medium golden yellow + honey + chestnut brown colored highlights. The beer has a four finger tall fizzy sudsy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium thick film covering approximately 45% of the surface of the beer surrounded by a large patch of mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. Light to moderate aromas of lager yeast. Light to moderate aromas of herbal + spicy hops.

T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of toasted + bready + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of lager yeast. Finally there are slightly heavier than light flavors of herbal + spicy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away quickly leaving a relatively clean finish.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Crisp upfront with a relatively clean finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a fairly crisp + clean albeit over-carbonated mouthfeel. Enjoyable toasted malts presence that matches well with the herbal + spicy hops.

Picked up a single from the Blue Door 9-1-22 for $4.25. Canned 8-9-22; consumed 9-18-22.

Beer poured a deep amber with a nice white head with the original pour.

Nose is light toasted malts with hints of noble hops.

Taste is a nice, toasted malt base that lends a toasted bread baseline. Hopping is herbal and balances the sweet malts very nicely.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and fairly refreshing.

Overall i like the heavy toastiness, nicely done.

From the pint can, it pours a clear slightly dark amber color with a nice, long lasting, off-white head. Lacing. Scent is sweetish malt with a touch of citrus. Taste initially has a bit of bitterness, and then is malty that is smooth and refreshing. Nice Oktoberfest.
