L: Had this beer on-tap at Effingham's, poured into a pint glass. Had a dark amber color and a cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of off white, creamy, fairly long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: A decent, but not spectacular, aroma of hops, rye, malt, a floral quality, and spices.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of rye (less than expected), a tinge of the floral quality, some hops, a bit of malt (only in the finish), a spicy quality (kind of peppery), and a nuttiness. Not a bad flavor, but slightly underdone. The hops and malt had a good presence, while the rye is sparse. Still, not a bad flavor.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This is an uneven, but nevertheless solid beer. Worth a try.
