Tasted in a tall tulip from draft at 1840 Brewing Company on March 9, 2019. Salted caramel ale brewed with lactose and flaked salt. A recipe with 6 types of caramel malts. Layering the specialty malts in this way creates a depth of caramel flavors that mimic the real thing. Just like in salted caramel confections they used flaked salt to increase the salinity. Contains lactose.
