Had on tap. Let's start with the feel, what sets this beer apart in my mind: has great barrel presence in the feel with the wood tannins, some rustic dryness and smoothness, and finally is dark but stays lighter for a ba imperial stout. Lots of character, kept my interested every sip. The taste was mild in comparison, though also had good complexity: wood, bourbon, maple, brunt sugar, molasses, char, tobacco and leather. Just chew on it. Smell is not as descriptive, hinting to you bourbon, wood, tobacco, and molasses, but the rest are kept for the taste. The body is midnight black with a finger of mocha foam.
