When we brew with our buds at 608 Brewing we usually throw down on a Double IPA. But we've still got love for people who don't drink good, and wanna learn to drink good too. That's why we crafted this training wheels beer, ahem, Light Lager.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, light golden color with a light white head. SRM of 6. (3.75)
Aroma: Strong aromas of pale Munich malts, somewhat grassy aromas. Lightly floral with some bread yeast behind it. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of pale malts, earthy Munich malts. An authentic grassy Munich yeast flavor for a dry finish. (4.25)
Feel: Medium-bodied, strong carbonation. Light, grassy, crisp. (4.00)
Compared to Badger State BRW-SKI 5/2023: Pours similar, stronger aromas. More grassy and authentic Munich malt. Less AAL flavors. Fuller and more smooth.
Overall: My first beer from 1840 Brewing as this was the first one that didn't seem overpriced. Wasn't sure whether to expect a beer more like a light American lager or more toward a German Pils. Very nice and authentic German and Munich flavors. Earthy and grassy, yet authentic. The only and best 3.8% beer I've had. Pleasantly surprised at this. (Rating: 4.09)
