Th beer is dark and opaque until held up to a light where it takes on a dark red color. The tan head is good looking. On the nose, there are coffee notes with pine hops. Tastewise, the roasty malt takes on a chocolate dimension as well. There are good fruity esters as well as some amount of butteriness. The hops take on more of an earthy character. The feel is velvelty and very smooth and viscous. There isn't too much carbonation, but it isn't needed. Overall, an enjoyable beer to relax with.
