On draught at the State Game Lodge at Custer State Park in South Dakota. Served in a shaker glass. It pours a dark ruby-cola color with a small ecru head and minimal lacing. The smell is subdued; mostly roasted malt , cola, earthy notes, and faint oatmeal. Its taste improves on the nose, opening with roasted malt and lots of bitter char. In addition, the oatmeal is much more evident - especially as it warms. There is some cola sweetness but overall it’s more roasty and bitter. Its mouth feel is typical for the style; rather thin. The 5.1% ABV is barely noticeabe. Overall, Bison Snot is an unassuming Oatmeal Stout. There is nothing wrong with it but its most memorable quality is its name.

When on the way to Mount Rushmore, this would be the beer to obtain as I found it at Badlands Saloon and Grill when out in South Dakota a few months back. Wanted to like this more but it was quite thin and water as only a light presence of oatmeal saved me from rating this any lower...
This poured a chocolate brown with a bubbly, mocha head that offset the liquid quite nicely. Only a few semblances of lines remained when it came to the lacing as most of the suds fell after each sip. Lots of coffee and roasted barley in the nose as the beer's description was apt - indeed, this felt like a Dry Irish Stout. This was a bit more full than those were as this had plenty of barley to it and just a bit of hops in the aftertaste as the coffee and bitter chocolate dominated here. Some espresso slickness kept this watery and weak, but only for the style as this was fine as a near-session Stout.
Canned on 6/3, this held up well over the last six months but this came across as categorized incorrectly. More oats, booze, and chocolate would have done this a world of good but as it was, this was one of the few Oatmeal Stouts that I'd kick back with, and even have a second time around in a session. Next time, don't de-bitter the malt!

Pours dark brown and opaque. A really nice foamy tan head. Decent retention and good lacing as well.
Faint chocolate and coffee notes. The graininess is definitely there, with the oats more present than expected.
Fairly sweet on the tip of the tongue. The roasted notes aren't quite enough to fully balance here, but there is a little earthy hop at the finish that helps.
Medium bodied, creamy and smooth. Very drinkable.
It's easy to dismiss a stout like this as too thin or mild on the flavor, and it is a touch watery. But it is a 4.8% ABV delivery. Flavor bombs tend to be higher. It's not very complex, and it's skewed a touch sweet, but it's very drinkable for the style, and a nice brew.

Pours a nice dark brown color. 4 finger tan head, that is nice and frothy looking. Head retention is good, and there's some lacing on the glass.
The nose has a faint chocolate hint on it, slightly malty, however both aromas are very faint.
Taste - like the nose, faint chocolate and a faint malt sweetness. Slight bit of a roast flavor. All flavors are weak.
Body is fairly thin, not really watery feeling, but thin.
Ok stout, but really lacking in general.
