Pint can purchased from the lady remaining IGA market in existence (?)
In Northfield MA. On 3/8/20. Opened and reviewed on same day.
A mostly clear burnt gold color with honey hues. White foam cap forms, recedes quick to scattered cover, a thin top, solid ring, nice lace.
The nose has a crazy sweet, red tropical fruity scent with ripe melon, cherries and watermelon. The malt is also grainy but sweet, honey and caramel style.
Even though the aroma is very fruity and sugary sweet, the flavor is much more earthy, grainy and even peppery from both the hops and malt. The hops are dense and old school IPA style. Not high alpha bitterness, but earthy, grainy with a blast of sweet fruits in a flavor current underneath. Dry, leafy hop effect is balanced with slightly sweet caramel malt that is light on the palate and medium bodied overall. The light side of medium.
My favorite aspects are the light and crispy feel, sweet overall flavors from both hops and malt and then earthy, dry but relaxed. Complex enough, a mix of old school IPA and seriously drinkable tones that keep you coming back with interest.

Poured from a one pint can into a pint glass. Off white head, somewhat shallow, some lacing. Hazy amber body. Tantalizing citrus fruit aroma. The first sip has some of the grapefruit flavor followed by strong hops bitterness. It is called an 'almost double', with a 7% abv, using Mosiac hops that are dry hopped. Very tasty but be prepared for the fairly high IBU. Apparently the owners of the brewery have a hopyard, and grow their own hops to use in their beers. This means a trip to Whately this summer to check out the brewery and hopyard!
