Into the Darkness melds the line between stout and IPA. It brings a full bodied hop aroma, and a medium malty and hoppy bitterness.

Taproom pour in a clear plastic cup, probably because of the special events for the solar eclipse.
Black colored body with a dark tan head. Some strings of lacing cling to the cup.
Aroma has dark roasted chocolate malts and a whiff of piney hops.
Taste follows the nose with a fuller expression of hop bitterness. The chocolate malts bring a sweeter note. Aftertaste remains bitter with the inclusion of dark roast coffee.
More than medium mouthfeel, with a creamy texture. Dry finish. Good carbonation.
Fits the style but rather rough and ready than balanced and nuanced.
