Decent imperial IPA tried on tap at Thornapple. Pours a light golden color with a scant amount of fluffy white head and small rings of lingering lacing that slowly faded. Surprisingly faint aromas of muddled hops, malt, vanilla and bread. Tastes similarly but the balance between the slightly bitter hops and sweeter malt backbone felt off. One note would hit you, fade, then the other would come into the foreground. Smooth mild mouthfeel, slightly thin, decent carbonation. Probably wouldn’t try again.
