Lovely looking beer with a near creamy collar and lines of lacing that fades to spots.
Nose has a slightly bitter char note to the toasted malts initially. It melds with the bourbon quite nicely as it warms. Initial sips were a tad sweet with a wooden with a tang afterwards, but warmth smoothed those out as well - especially the sweet notes. Maybe a bit of an over-correct, even. A slightly sweet stout/porter vibe before the wood tannins start to take over, standing out a little much, especially in the dry finish. Fairly tasty but needs a little refinement for my tastes.

Starts out on a sweet and spicy note from the Rye. Deep maple and slight tin aroma. There's a beautiful, full mouthfeel, deep flavors of maple, bourbon, classic molasses and coffee notes, and very warm going down.
