Picked up a single from the brewery cooler while visiting 5-17-25 for $2.33. No canning date; consumed 6-20-25. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured dark brown with a fizzy tan head that dissipated pretty quickly.
Nose has hints of roasted malts and not much beyond that.
Taste is a roasted malt base that also emits notes of chocolate. Hopping is done nicely to balance along with the roast.
Mouthfeel is light bodied, sort of smooth, but on the edge of being watery.
Overall, i dig the taste of this as this captures the essence of the style.
