On tap, served at the brewery in a snifter.
Appearance: A pleasant brown, light tan head remained, a bit of lacing.
Nose: Slightly sweet, slight caramel, some pear.
Mouthfeel: Medium.
Attack: Rich and complex flavor consistent with the style. Some carbonation.
Overall: A solid dubbel. Of the beers we’ve tried at this brewery over the past several summers (one visit a year on our way back home from vacationing in the Wyoming mountains), this is far and away their best offering.
Congratulations to this brewery on their increasing beer quality and sophistication!
