I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It looked, tasted, and smelled like a typical roasty english porter. There was a nice coffee bite. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall, it is a great beer.

On tap at the brewery, served in a Nonic pint glass.
Appearance: Dark brown, with almost no head, and a little lacing.
Nose: Very nice — dark roast, caramel, chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Medium, adequate carbonation.
Attack: Nicely follows the nose.
Finish: Hop bitterness to balance.
Overall: A very nice, very drinkable English Porter. I’d happily order it again.

draught
Very dark, with some auburn highlights at the bottom of the glass. Nice, dark roasted grain aroma. Thin tasting, dark roasted grain flavor.
