Served in a tall pilsner glass at the brewery, quick review from notes.
Bright gold, perfect clarity with a dollop of creamy meringue foam on top.
Concentric rings of drippy lacing in the glass, looks very nice.
Description said it was unfiltered, but there was zero haze.
Crackery pils malt and lager yeast in the aroma, clean with no flaws.
Taste and feel are where it shines, very smooth feel with a supple light body.
Bready and crisp, fresh baked bread and a hint of grassy noble hop bitterness in back.
Very drinkable and quenching on a 90ยบ+ hot June afternoon. Great stuff.
Would love to try a zwickel version of this...

Tasted in a snifter from draft at the Roaring Table Brewing company tap room on April 26, 2018. They used four ingredients to make this style, which was all the rage with beer geeks in 1842.
