Tasted in a snifter from draft at Roaring Table Brewing Company on December 14, 2018. Brewed in October 2017, this big stout spent ten months in a freshly dumped Heaven Hill barrel. There is a touch of whiskey on the nose, but also savory oak, chocolate, and molasses. As it warms there are notes of dark chocolate, along with espresso, red fruits, bourbon and a hint of tobacco.
