Crowler filled 11/27/21; drank 11/29/21 @ the Yarchives.
Semi-opaque orange/brown appearance.
A rough pour yielded a small khaki head; minimal lace.
Mild notes of leather, caramel, dill pickle & mild booze heat in the nose.
Medium thick mouthfeel.
Oak, caramel, dill pickle & leather flavors; booze heat emerged as this warmed.
I'd love to see them brew a true English barleywine, but this is fine for what it is...an American barleywine that's drinkable. Not easy to do.
