Served in a Mickey Finn's shaker pint glass from a crowler filled at the brewpub.
As if I'm made of shadows... Anyway, this stuff pours a deep midnight brown topped by a finger of tan foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, light cocoa powder, and a very light twinge of molasses. The taste brings in more of the same, with the added pleasure of a bit of coffee. The body is a somewhat light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a smooth feel. Overall, a rather nice oatmeal stout. 'Nuff said.
