Draft at Kemp’s Upper Tap, Lexington, IL. Got a 4-pack to go, as it really hit the spot.
Pale gold, bright clarity, rocky head. Three fingers of fluffy foam that leaves arcs of spotty lace around the glass.
Pungent hoppy aroma, assertive tropical papaya and bright citrus.
Taste follows suit, papaya, grapefruit, mild botanical greenery. Delivers a hoppy punch. Dry finish, moderately but firmly bitter. Clean, hoppy and effervescent. Really nice and easy drinking, having two in a row.
I take the name to be satire of the Cold IPA trend, as this is a basically a WCIPA masquerading as an IPL.

Canned 7/26/22; drank 8/4/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big, noisy bright white head; decent lace.
Pine, watermelon Jolly Rancher & faint skunk notes in the nose.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Dry pine, watermelon Jolly Rancher & skunk flavors.
It's big and bold, but it's not real pleasant. Not one I'll seek out again.
