Had on cask. Opaque black body with two fat fingers of oatmeal brown foam that is persistent, only dying down to one finger near the end of the pint, blobs of lacing abound. Aromas of roast, dark chocolate, char flakes, deep earth and faint english yeast. Taste also stars the big roast and dark chocolate verging into bittersweet realm, the yeast is more pronounced and earthy, ending with hints of cocoa, soil, and coffee grounds. Feel is roasty yet not heavy, has nuance to the sip, smooth and dries out well without ever being harsh. RT is just so good at these english styles, keep the casks coming!
