Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown with little light transmission in the glass and a two finger light khaki head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, bakers chocolate, coffee and nuts. Flavor is dark toasted malt, milk chocolate, light coffee and nuts; mildly bitter finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A mellow, but nicely flavored porter that leans into dry stout territory, although the flavor level is not as intense. Like all well made porters, the flavor is consistent throughout the taste with no tartness in the finish. Laid back, but delightful flavor. Looks great.
