draught
Medium dense, white head. Clear, medium orange and amber look. Rewarding, pine/mixed herbs/mixed citrus peel and a little spice, along with medium toasted caramel malt, makes the taste. The bite lingers until the finish.

a fine pint of ipa, nice and resinous and fresh on the hops, very well balanced with a pretty sturdy malt backbone, somewhat generic overall in taste, like if you drink a lot of ipa types youve definitely pretty much had this beer before, even if you havent really, which isnt always a bad thing, and sometimes a nice fresh bright and bold ipa hits the mark, no matter how samey or familiar, which is what we have here. it could be a little drier at the end, some of the malt sweetness from the middle carries through, but the hops do have as much piney bitterness as they do anything else, oily and well dosed, but not with too much bite due to the balance, so a worthwhile tradeoff to have it be a little less than dry. this to me tastes like maybe simcoe hops are in the least, just a sort of quintessential northwestern profile, without being anything anywhere near new or daring. a nice tidy ferment here, a little bit of maybe a slight english bready aspect, but not a ton of yeast character. nice round feel and good carbonation. a well made and sessionable ipa, but really nothing at all unique or special.
