Handsome red-amber brew with plenty of off-white foam in the Copper Kettle goblet. Not much aroma. This is a hoppier sort of Irish Red, along with a tangy and even tart sensation. This is more dry and less malty than typical for the style. Just a slight astringent aftertaste. There is a bit of grainy flavor, a bare hint of sweetness, and a vegetal flavor. The finish has some fruit and corn taste. Overall this is quite quaffable and at least interesting. From the 16 oz can purchased at Special Brews. Not dated.
