Solidly amber in color and nearly clear. The head is dense and settles slowly. Excellent multiple ring lace during the tasting.
Good toasted barley malt aroma. Light (but present) hop nose. A bit nutty. Attractive.
Stronger hop bitterness on the tongue. Richer body than expected with an elevated carbonation level as well. The round malt is strongest on the initial sip but fades to near nothing as the black peppery hop takes over. More bitter than most Ambers, this has a longer aftertaste.
