Poured from 16oz tall can into a tulip. Canned on 5/8/20; this is Varietal's 2020 Pink Boots Society beer, brewed with the 2020 PBH hop blend.
Appearance: murky medium-yellow hue with a finger of frothy ivory foam atop. I guess this one is a hazy pale ale.
Smell: I could smell this as soon as I cracked the can; evidently being about 6 weeks old has caused it no harm. The hop aroma has got elements of citrus and tropical fruits, as well as some pungency; however, something about the combination reads as "tart candy" to me. This is not a bad thing.
Taste: the flavor isn't quite as bright and popping as the aroma, but it's good. It has a reasonable maltiness with a bit of sweetness to complement the sharp-and-indescribably-fruity hops. I like it, although it definitely doesn't have a classic pale ale profile.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I like this beer. It is weird, and its smell is particularly bizarre and good, but overall it works. Good stuff!
