rad to see cans from these guys showing up in boise, we need more diversity here and this is a great addition. this was the less impressive of the two i had from them last night, an extremely light lager done with jasmine rice and corn, watery yellow colored i cannot believe how pale this is, clear too, as light as they come. the pint can gives rise to a tall airy white head fizzing and popping, but it settles almost instantly can cannot be revived. still, it looks bubbly in the glass and feels lively enough as i drink it. its cereal forward in the nose and the taste, almost surprisingly so because the color is so light, but its also not overly well refined, the yeast is a little soapy to me, its not as dry as it should be for what it is, and it seems to be missing a little something at the same time. i dont want to sound too negative here because i like the beer and its definitely unique in a same style, but i want to taste the jasmine rice more, i want a just a little body in here, i want a fresher cleaner hopping, and i want it to be crisper, cleaner on the ferment, its close to being awesome in a number of regards, but comes up a little short on all of them, still, i cannot score this too harshly, its full of promise. a little thin to me, but i like the grain flavor a lot, and overall i think its pretty ambitious for a light lager. hopefully they can refine this and take it to the next level, the world needs a beer like this in its best form...
