Ghost of Giants is a clean barrel aged stout. It pulls straight from the wood and has a heavy maltiness. It is quite a different approach than other breweries, focusing more on the mash and fresh oak.

Midnight black with a brown ring. Smell strongly of rugged wood, whiskey, smoke, char, leather, dark chocolate, with light vanilla. Taste is very dark and heavy in complexion with huge leather, smoke and wood, almost peat like, with humungous booze, very hot, obliterating any nuance from the nose. Feel is hot, thick, chewy, rugged, and generally woody. For the coldest and darkest of night, a beast. Great label art though!
