Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a lightly hazy, light to medium golden amber with a white, two finger head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, orange, lemon, grapefruit and some green onion. Flavor is pale malt, citrus hops, grapefruit, dank citrus, a touch of pine; dank and mixed citrus finish with lingering hop pellet bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I'm on the fence with this one. I like it well enough, but it seems a touch tame for the hop intensity it seems to offer. There is a bit of softness to the initial flavor that I associate with new school hazy IPAs, although the hop bitterness builds in this one into a satisfyingly bitter finish. The Citra hops are on display here, but also some interesting dankness that I did not expect; it made the flavor more interesting. Starts soft, but ultimately delivers on the hops. Worth a visit.
