Gold Dot Beer collaborated with us on this West Coast Pils, a modern style of hop-forward pilsner. With a light-weight malt body, this lager shows off the spicy, herbal aroma additions of Lórien, Mt Hood & Saaz hops, with a top-note of citrus from dry-hop additions of Citra Cryo Hops.

Handsome golden amber brew with white foam in the Karmeliet goblet. Light body with plenty of suds on the tongue. Lemon aroma with alfalfa and apricot. Tastes of green melon and ripe peaches. Surprisingly sweet, which is very appealing with the fruit flavor. Then a sharper finish with ust a touch of woody astringency.
I had to look up Lórien hops-- they're from Indie Hops, the company that brought out Strata. The fruity flavor is not quite what you'd expect in a Pilsner, but I think it's sensational. One of my favorite beers this year. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station.
