Style: New England IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.50%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
This New-American Hoppy ale was inspired by our observations of the New-Alternative Delusions of this self-obsessed frenzied culture...and with our extreme efforts to infuse objectivity into all aspects of our craft, alienation is a perpetual inevitability. As surely as the transient perceptions of slouching minds dictate cultural patterns en masse, we will all swallow with ease this delicious, silken liquid, and breathe deeply the quirky hipness of hot new aromas like tropical flowers, red berries, and candied citrus fruits imparted by the Melba & Topaz hops. Take the path of least resistance: a satisfied ego is all important, no?

A: Poured from the can into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is hazy golden-yellow with a small film of whitish head on top.

S: Pineapple-orange juice and ripe melon. Modestly floral scents noted as well.

T: Taste is a let-down after that nose. Melon rind, modest tropical fruit - but a bit watery and thin. Finishes with lingering aftertaste of ripe melon, papaya.

M: See above - medium in heft, but gives the impression of being lighter.

O: OK.

Hazy, opaque golden orange with a small white head. Good retention and sheets of lacing.
Smells like peach, mango, honeydew melon, blueberry, pineapple, bell pepper, honey, and grains.
The taste is mango, apricot, papaya, honeydew melon, blueberry, green grape, pineapple, bell pepper, honey, cereal grains, and oats. Juicy and super fruity throughout with a slight spicy balance on the finish. Lightly dry with a hint of pepper and pine.
The feel is creamy, almost thick, smooth, moderately carbonated, and slightly sticky.
An excellent NEIPA!

Strong peach, berry, floral, melon and orange citrus character, much more pronounced in the flavor than in the aroma, which seems muddled to me. Sly bitterness cuts through to the finish. Feel is less lush than many. Good IPA - will keep checking them out if this is a consistent product.

Solid orange, some foam.

My nose isn't working.

Nelson and something? I should've checked, this can's a month old. Amarillo? Citra? Pineapple, guava and medicinal.

Creamy, all good here.

A: The beer is very hazy pale yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a short white head that left a thin collar around the edge of the glass and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of lychee fruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of lychee fruit along with hints of orange citrus. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a little juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a nice New England-style IPA that has unique aromas and flavors of lychee fruit.

Can dated 12/26/18 into pint glass. Pours a very hazy amber-gold with a modest off-white head. Initial impression is grapefruit, floral overtones, melon, and possibly mango or peach. Has an edge to it - noticeably bitter; not your soft and fluffy NEIPA. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Finish is bitter and full of citrus. FO consistently produces some great IPAs. This is good but not my favorite.

A: Bright and juicy orange-grapefruit juice coloring is dense, beautiful, and mouth watering. Any N.E. style brewer would be envious of this with a dense and juicy appearance. Light beige head is one finger in height, and shortly lasting. Lacing was very minimal on the vessel. Not sure what i find more mesmerizing, the beautiful coloring or the painted can design. Both works of art.

S: Fruitiness of fresh cantaloupe, honeydew, and watermelon grind are prominent at first sniff. Some fresh sliced red apples, dripping wet citrus, lightly fresh and bitter, with some wildflowers and soft floral scents. Spicy pine resins come on the close. Overall very well blended, balanced, with a moderate strong awareness.

T: Juicy, tart grapefruit, and oranges bring a fruity start to the flavor. Lightly dry with a bright sense of peach and green melon. Lightly dry pine hops is strong and bittering to counter the fresh and fruity nature. Tropical delight with a big finish of grapefruit pulp and dry pine hopping that leaves the tongue parched begging for more.

M: Juicy O.J. like consistency on the mouthful, pulpy, wheat, tart with a light massage of carbonation.

O: You had me at first sight, both can design and pour. A beautiful N.E. style orange juice appearance, with a big tart and tropical flavor that lives up to my every expectations. Pure N.E. style looks and flavor, tart citrus and piney hops deliver a wop of flavor and make most N.E. brewers blush with envy.
