Pours a clear, light orange color with minimal head. Scent is of fruit, citrus and pine. Taste follows, with sweet dominant. Mouthfeel is above medium. Aftertaste that is equal parts sweet and bitter.

A: Poured from the half-growler into a Piraat tulip/snifter-type glass. Body is clear golden-orangey with no real head.

S: Nice nose of sweeter tropical fruit - think overripe melons, papaya - with a touch of candied orange peel.

T: Follows the nose, with sweeter flavors dominating. Brown sugary malt foundation, followed by overripe peaches & cantaloupe, with some ripe oranges, but then finishing with a touch of piney bitterness that keeps this from being a complete diabetic sugar-bomb of a nightmare. ABV heat felt in the belly after a couple sips.

M: Slick. Syrupy. Low carbonation.

O: OK for a DIPA, but I probably wouldn't get it again.
