Hazy yellow with a nice, frothy white head that leaves traces of webbed lacing.

Nose is spicy citrus, grass, traces of tea and melon.

Taste follows the nose. Dank citrus, herbal tea and faint melon. Medium bitterness on the finish.

Smooth, creamy mouthfeel.

This was a nice take on the style. Different that most and pleasing. Recommended.

Yellow/orange, opaque but not chalky. Strong tropical notes of passion fruit and guava with lighter citrus notes of tangerine. Taste includes these fruity notes along with some hoppy bitterness. Smooth medium body. A great balance of fruity/tropical and bitter.

A: A beautiful pale lemonade pour settles to a dank and juicy orange juice like appearance in the vessel. Deep and hazy depth, dirty cream covering, with a bubbly surface that quickly dissipates.

S: Citrusy-grassy notes, lightly tart and refreshing dripping wet pine notes with some ripe grapes. Fresh fruitiness with some light wet tropical. Overall fairly good strength with a lasting impression.

T: Dank and juicy oranges, with some pine and grassy bitterness. Sharp and citric hop resins with some tropical sweetness. Mid-palate brings some dryness of pine-grassiness that lingers on to the finish with a medium high bittering rate. Hints of melon fruitiness.

M: Citric-acidic mouthful, dank and hop resins on the mouthful. Tart tropical grinds, with a good fullness and bitterness.

O: Overall dank tropical start finishes with some bittering flowery dryness of pine-grassiness. Beautiful presentation in the vessel, fresh wet nose, with wide range of flavors and bitterness. Foreign Objects continues to impress, especially when it comes to their N.E.I.P.A. approach that is on par with the best from further up north.

Pours a murky pale orange with soft, soapy foam.

Smell is juicy with notes of pineapple, mango and some grass. Slight pepperiness as well.

Taste is juicy and musty, like freshly squeezed juice. Motes of oranges, pineapple and mango along with a fairly sturdy, slightly floral bitterness. Very well balanced.

Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a really nice IPA, lots of flavor.

On tap, pours a very hazy light greenish gold. Smell has complex layers of fruit, with mango, passionfruit, lemon and more. Taste follows. Smooth, soft feel. Great beer.

Foreign Objects Beer Company "Saturn In Scorpio"
1 Pint can, "CANNED ON: 11/13/2018 #50234 12:43", and sampled on 12/22/2018
Contract brewed in Pottstown, PA (most likely by Sly Fox)
$4.99 @ Knightly Spirits O.B.T., Orlando, FL

Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a cloudy light yellow body beneath a finger-thick head of fluffy white foam. It looks like a glass of pineapple juice. The aroma has a bit of pineapple to it as well, along with some orange and mango and peach, and plenty of hop resins and a background note of pine. It's bright and fresh and welcoming. The flavor follows the aroma. There are even more resinous notes to it, but the fruitiness is still abundant: tropical, peach, orange. The malt is a straightforward golden malt that's sweetish and acts as a great springboard for the hops. There are a lot of hop acids to it but it's not that bitter. It is quite flavorful though! And juicy. I like that the acids give it a bit of a hop burn, and that there's lots of resins and just a hint of pine backing it, otherwise it would be just another "juicy NEIPA". Ahh, but there's also something else going on... it's kind of peppery. Can that be from the yeast? Did they add some pepper to it? In the mouth it's medium-light in body but it feels a little fuller due to the yeast, and it's gently crisp with a delicate bristle. Overall I'd have to say it's unique. I'm not sure what's going on with the hop burn and the peppery note but it works. I'd say it's well worth trying!

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had an orange-yellow color and a super-cloudy consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Sparse lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, and tropical fruit.

T: Tasted of a decent shot of citrus fruit (tangerine, in particular), a mild malt presence (not overly prevalent), a ton of hops (borders on too much), and a little tropical fruit (mango?). For a NE IPA this is an incredibly hoppy beer. The fruit elements certainly play second fiddle, but it's still a solid flavor. It's light and lively, with an uncharacteristic aggressiveness.

F: A good amount of carbonation with a sharp, bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This isn't my favorite Foreign Objects beer, but it is interesting. Worth a look.

Can. He need some milk! Pretty goddamn milky and opaque. Literally looks like it has a greenish hue to it when sitting outside of direct light. A paltry crown of thorns for head. Prickly and thin; it leaves little pocks and scars on the glass. Aroma is odd. Not overly aromatic. Sticking my nose in, I get a creamy, dairy aroma. Also just a hint of dill. Really not getting much in the way of the standard juice/citrus. It smells like its been hopped to the point where the nuance has flaked off and drifted away. Flavor is pretty hard to describe. Almost like a Dairy Queen milkshake with tropical fruit flavoring. The body is thiccc. Sits its greedy ass on the palate. Truly weighty. Like a full bodied stout. Carbonation is very low and the bitterness is like a whisper just out of earshot. An odd beer. I think they made it more interesting than they intended.

16 oz can dated 11/12

Hops: Amarillo, Rakau

I would guess there are a ton of hops in this. Intensely juicy and thick, even for the style. A delicious beer, but it would be a chore to drink more than 1 in a sitting.

L: Exceptionally dense and hazy appearance , nice 1-finger head from center poor into pint "can" glass;
S & F: great aromas and mouthfeel from Rakau and Amarillo hops;
T: medium-high bitterness with only slight hop burn at the back of the throat. Another great and very drinkable IPA from Foreign Objects.

Can dated 11/13/18. Poured into Belgian tulip.
Look is dense pale yellow orange haze with a white head. Nose is hop tinted tropical and stone fruit, but of orange rind in the back as well. Taste follows the tropical and stone fruit first and the orange rind coming through toward the finish leading to some light bitterness, lingering tangerine. Mouthfeel is medium-thick, slightly dry as the bitterness cuts through any sweetness there. Overall good stuff from foreign objects. Solid balance of hoppy flavors.
