Activate the chaos-merkabah in these dark mirrors. Worship the black glass and the interior places! In this moment of worship we glorify Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops and we recognize the intensity of their character: ripe melon, sweet grape must, resinous citrus juice, and lychee syrup! V.I.T.R.I.O.L. This is the formula by which you will see the interior places! V.I.T.R.I.O.L.

Can dated 4/15/21 into pint glass. Pours a hazy deep gold with a thin off-white head. No lacing to speak of. Initial impression is juicy pineapple, grapefruit, white grapes, and a touch of resin. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Finish is citrus-y and fades to a slight caramel sweetness. Overall, a solid NEIPA but not one that stands out from the crowd.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a yellowish color and a very cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Above average lacing.

S: A very good aroma of hops, melon, citrus fruit, tropical fruit, malt, and a slight vinous quality.

T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish), a bit of tropical fruit (mango, in particular), a good amount of melon, lots of hops (a big factor), a tinge of the vinous quality (kind of fleeting), and some citrus fruit (orange, lemon). An interesting flavor all around. It's hoppier than the typical NE IPA, but it still manages to work.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.

O: In general, this is a solid, well done beer. Worth a look.

Excellent head production and very nice retention. Brew is unfortunately filled with massive floaties, eventually clinging to the glass in huge colonies. Very nearly opaque dark mango-colored body.

Super hoppy notes on the nose, in particular tropical tones from the Citra hops. Mango, pineapple, white grape, and mild-to-moderate dankness, along with restrained citrus tones of mandarin orange and lemon. Nose is overall fairly mild but quite pleasant.

Whatever restraint is exercised on the nose is not remotely translated to the palate, which is bursting with hop flavor. Mild dankness, white grape, mandarin orange, lemon, champagne, mango, pineapple, papaya, and berries.

Lively and smooth on the palate. Very active, but very drinkable. Low overall bitterness for an IPA.

Great NEIPA. Delicious unfiltered, hazy appearance. Sharp, citrus smell and taste. Feel is crisp. Easy to drink. Love this beer.

5 oz pour on tap. Not all that hazy/cloudy for a NEIPA. Aroma and flavor feature melon and tropical fruit but also a bit more alcohol than I'd expect for a 7.5% NEIPA. Mouthfeel is not terrible but a tad harsh.
