Poured from a Growler purchased at Premium Draught.
A: Pours a bright and clear brassy orange color. A bubbly one finger white head forms that sticks around for a little while. Some patchy lace is left behind in spots.
S: An up front pungent aroma. Melons and other passion fruit, some floral and grassy hops in the mix as well. Simple but enjoyable.
T: I guess you could call this "juicy", with honey dew melons, a light berry flavor, and grassy hops as well. Pale malts that are all but vanishing in the background. There is a touch of sweetness in the middle (though that probably has more to do with the fruity hop character). This has enough hop character to hold though. Which never becomes unwanted or overbearing. Just a touch of bitterness lingering.
M/O: A medium body with effervescent and crisp carbonation. Even with a touch of sweetness in the middle, this finishes dry and clean. I am really enjoying the growler, this will be gone in no time and I will be looking for this more often.
Something I can get behind, and with the fruity hops that are almost "juicy" like, this is a bit of a tweener for the NEIPA's and West Coast IPA's. I much prefer this to a full on NEIPA however, as I am drawn into the subtle and simple hop character and a body that has good carbonation throughout. Instead of just being hit over the head all at once, with no finish, and nothing else develops over time to bring me back for more. I like it.
