A: Pours a slightly hazy medium to dark golden yellow in color with light amounts of active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate copper + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a finger tall sudsy foamy off-white head that reduces to a few small patches of very thin film and a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of pale malts with moderate amounts of light fruit (apple, pear, white grape) sweetness as well as moderate aromas of spicy Belgian yeast. Finally there are moderate aromas of banana + clove.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of slightly stronger than moderate flavor of pale malts with moderate amounts of light fruit (apple, pear, white grape) sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of spicy Belgian yeast. Finally there are just shy of moderate flavors of banana. There is a light lingering spicy Belgian yeast + banana + light fruit flavor.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a minimal amount of alcohol warming in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol, though a slightly more modest ABV than a lot of other tripels. Enjoyable and I could easily enjoy a couple of these. Kind of a throwback as I don't come across a ton of tripels anymore and these remind me of first getting into craft beers in the mid-1990s.
