A: Pours a perfectly clear reddish/copper color. A two finger white head forms and gently recedes. Light lace is left behind.
S: Clean cereal grains up front in the nose. With toasted malts. Fairly neutral but enjoyable.
T: Like the nose, cereal grains, toasted malts and bread. A fairly substantial sweetness that doesn't become overbearing at all.
M/O: A medium body with good carbonation. Crisp and supper clean. A bit heavier than I would like for a fest beer, but not bad. Very enjoyable to drink overall. I will be coming back to this when at the brewery.
Maybe in-between what a Marzen and Fest Beir are (originally advertised as a Festbeir), which isn't a bad thing at all. A Festbeir is lighter, and certainly paler, and closer to a Helles. In my opinion anyway. Still a really enjoyable Oktoberfest that has become something I look forward to every year.
