In-House IPA #3 was originally planned in collaboration with Country Malt Group and YCH designed to highlight two particular ingredients and be served at Craft Brewers Conference in San Antonio. Grant from CMG recommended Baird’s Scottish Ale malt, a pale malt from the UK. We decided on a SMaSH beer and Spencer from YCH suggested the recent crop of Washington-grown Idaho 7 hops. The resulting beer is a very pale, balanced, easy-drinking, ale with a clean finish. The Idaho 7 presents a bright tropical profile with hints of pineapple and papaya.
