2024 Release - 14.9% ABV.
Pour is a deep, murky brown / deep amber. Moderate beige head that fades to a little ring around the glass
Nose is bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, esters. Very nice.
Taste follows. Bourbon, vanilla, dark fruit, caramelized sugar; delicious, toffee. Warming alcohol in the stomach.
Smooth, full bodied. Easy to drink; doesn't get overly sweet.
Excellent beer.

A: Pours a murky brown color. A mall beige head forms and recedes quickly to nothing.
S: Oh, its been barrel aged. All vanilla, wood, and dark fruits and alcohol. Simple and enjoyable.
T: Like the nose, all the big wood, vanilla and barrel flavors. Candied fruits, dark fruits and black cherries. Caramelized sugars. Alcohol warmth. Very sweet, but it works.
M/O: A big full and sticky body. Moderate carbonation that becomes very smooth. Alcohol warmth, and a sipper for sure.
Like most of Great Heights barrel aged offerings, this is good. They never seem to get to the great level for me, mostly because that are very sweet, and boarders over the top with the alcohol. So it might not be something I'm coming back to often, but when in the mood it is a very good sipper.
