Easily the best beer I have tasted from this brewery, as their IPAs are somewhat wanting.
Pours jet black, with a head that completely disappears. The nose is lovely coffee and vanilla.
The coffee within is not very predominate (it could have been infused with a bit more), perhaps due to the vanilla balance, but this brew does come close to rivaling Peche Mortel in its overall quality. If they ever age this in bourbon barrels, they will have an internationally renowned beer. Even the way it is, it's a very well made stout and at a quite reasonable price point ($10 CDN/650mL bottle).
