Pours darker than dark (wait, what?) with a beautiful mocha head that disappears a bit too soon. The nose is delicious bourbon, vanilla and coffee.
The coffee is strong in this one and it doesn't taste cheap, metallic, bitter or anything. The vanilla no doubt helps. As does the bourbon. It is still ever so slightly watery (how is that possible at 10.8 ABV) but this is a really well made BBA coffee stout. It could give any other beer in this style a run for its money. If brews would enter track and field competitions for money, that is.
