The classic Oktoberfest lager. Brewed with a blend of German malts, rich malt body and a smooth mouthfeel gives way to a clean finish. Prost!

Pours gem clear, bright copper (SRM 11-13). A short-lived, one inch almond head is comprised of fine foam and leaves a spattering of lace on a Pretentious Glass Company dimpled mug.
Mild sweetness comes through first, with lightly toasted malt. The aroma is clean and refreshing.
The flavor is crisp, with initial sweetness and very light bitterness. The lightly toasted malt comes forward and there is no real hop profile. The malt doesn't seem to be influenced by the lack of hops and it has a clean, dry finish.
A medium body and texture of soft jersey cotton. Carbonation is light and prickly, while the alcohol is as advertised.
One could easily enjoy several rounds of this beer with good friends and a long afternoon under chestnut trees. It would pair well with any wurst that may be available.
