Can purchased at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.

This one pours a clean rusted looking orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells moderately citrusy, with some light maltiness, and lots of pine.

Please, Buffalo, just give me one Super Bowl before I die. This is a pretty solid little West Coast style IPA. It’s not too malty, with a nice clean piney bitterness, and some orange and grapefruit rind. It’s not super juicy, but it’s got a nice balance of things going.

This is light bodied, crisp, clean, and quite drinkable.

I really only picked this out of the cooler because of the Bills theme, but I definitely enjoyed it.

A massive swarm of fine carbonation never seems to mellow within this gem clear, gold beer (SRM 4-6). Two inches of creamy, dense, white head gradually settles to form a big pillow, while a ton of Belgian lace coats the Strangebird IIPA glass.

The aroma is filled with juicy pine tar and accented by mint, orange, and grapefruit. Sweet malt is constantly present in the background. Warmth brings out floral notes, while redirecting the pine towards cedar.

Mild bitterness suggests this is more of an East Coast variant IPA. Sweet blood orange works with grapefruit. The grapefruit is more present in the finish. The toasted malt is mild, as the flavor is all about the hops. The finish is modest, with drawn out grapefruit and pine resin.

The alcohol is as advertised, while astringency is faint to light in its intensity. The beer has a medium body, texture of satin, and fine, prickly carbonation. There is a sneaky numbing sensation that comes over the gums about half way through the session.

I found this to be an exquisite IPA, with impressive aroma and flavor. There are no extreme notes, which makes it easy to consume. I enjoyed it on a mildly cool and brilliantly sunny early autumn afternoon. It pairs well with Raclette cheese. While the cheese has little impact on the beer, the beer intensifies the creamy nuttiness of the cheese.
