This classic American India Pale Ale has a touch of rye malt to enhance the malt character, and a high bitterness from the use of Simcoe hops. Look for piney and fruity notes from huge amounts of both Simcoe & Galaxy used for dry-hopping.

Bottle date April 8/17. Poured from bottle to tulip glass. Tawny gold in color with a finger of solid foam. Nice sticky lacing left. The aroma is bold as soon as the pour hits the glass - fresh hop pellets. Just like on a brew day. Surprising since this seems to have been bottled four months ago. Big piney/resinous notes. Not getting much from the Galaxy, though. Can't say the same for the flavor, however. The malt backbone is strong and overpowers the hops. Rye and biscuit, a touch of sweetness. A slight hop bite appears at the finish, but that's about it. Maybe a fresher batch would be different.
