This double dry-hopped West Coast IPA is packed with Simcoe, Mosaic & Citra. Loads of Simcoe in the boil allows this beautiful hop to showcase crazy notes of sticky pine. The dry-hop addition of Mosaic & Citra add a spectacular depth of tangy citrus, dank hemp and ripe tropical fruit to round out this bitterboi.

Poured from the can into a Spigelau IPA glass.
Beaming rich, tall and frothy forming thick fine head. Off white in color, reaching an easy three to four fingers and a soft creamy top. Exceptionally clear light amber, beaming brass perfect yellow with faint orange tint, and slow crawling carbonation. Great looking IPA.
Big stinky aromatics of sticky hop like pine and resin. A nice mix of earthy weedy and woody tones as well, but with a juicy sensing backbone that hints of tropical smokey quality. Real inviting.
Delicious palate. Thick bodied and resiny sticky hop flavors. A mid palate that hits of resin like pine and earthy dank tropical notes. Slightly touches citrus, but goes for a bit of mango like flavors, along with sappy pine. Finishes with real sticky bitterness, and a honey malt coating on the lips. Earthy and pine cone aftertaste round things out.
Real nice aggressive IPA. Has just a hint of fruit character, so it's neat to have a West coast style that hints but gives more of an earthy pungent bent.

A: Pours a clear medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow + honey colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy foamy light beige head that reduces to a large patch of finger thick film covering a little more than 70% of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of herbal + citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + gooseberry + citrus/grapefruit pith hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of bready + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of bready + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of herbal + citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + gooseberry + citrus/grapefruit pith hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Relatively crisp upfront with a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Drinks pretty easily with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly crisp mouthfeel. Enjoyable though the herbal hops are a touch stronger than the other hop flavors...detracting from my overall enjoyment of this beer. I like the West Coast aspects of more aggressive bitterness and lighter sweetness.

A: The beer is clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. TI poured with a half finger high white head that left lots of lacing on the surface and down the sides of the glass after it died down.
S: Moderate aromas of herbal hops are present in the nose along with notes of gooseberries and hints of mangos.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of herbal hops from start to finish along with underlying notes of gooseberries, mangos and alcohol. There is a moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a bit crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The drinkability of this Imperial IPA is somewhat detracted by all of the flavors of herbal hops and the notes of alcohol in the taste.
