An open-ended worldwide collab with Weathered Souls Brewing Co. The Black is Beautiful initiative is a collaborative effort amongst the brewing community and its customers, in an attempt to bring awareness to the injustices that many people of color face daily. Our mission is to bridge the gap that's been around for ages and provide a platform to show that the brewing community is an inclusive place for everyone of any color. We chose to stay true to the recipe and allow the gorgeous base beer and project speak for itself. Our version is thick with rich notes of milk and baker’s chocolate. It’s jet black, and has a pillowy and inviting mocha head. 100% of proceeds will be donated to our friends at Ignite NC.

Poured from can. Deep, rich color with 1 inch head. Smell is bitter chocolate. Flavor follows the same, with a very bitter backbone for a stout. Im not sure if that's the chocolate resonating, or they over-hopped this one. Almost like a very bitter tobacco flavor. Not a huge fan.
