A virtual collaboration with Wild Mind Ales. We threw tons of bright raspberries into a Berliner, and dosed it with loads marshmallow, vanilla, and creamy lactose. This one will transport you back to childhood when you’d have to race the sun before your creamsicle became a sticky mess in your hands. It’s refreshingly tart with a cool wave of vanilla and mallow following closely behind.

Appearance: Pours the color of a raspberry popsicle with a modest head that quickly fades to a ringlet; spotty lacing

Smell: Raspberry juice and marshmallow cream

Taste: It may be the power of suggestion, but the raspberry creamsicle concept holds; the sweeter flavors are up front, with just a hint of tartness in the middle

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with low carbonation

Overall: Fun and refreshing, if not the most challenging from a flavor profile; a comfort beer for uncomfortable times

A: Pours an opaque dark hazy reddish purple in color with moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and moderate dark ruby red + dark berry red + dark garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense creamy sudsy pale pink head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering approximately 85% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of sweet + tart overripe raspberries over the top of light to moderate aromas of slightly sour wheat malts with a moderate amount of lactose sweetness and a light to moderate amount of lacto lemon tartness. Light to moderate aromas of marshmallow and vanilla..

T: Upfront there are light to moderate aromas of slightly sour wheat malts with a moderate amount of lactose sweetness and a light to moderate amount of lacto lemon tartness. That is followed by light to moderate flavors of vanilla and marshmallow. Finally there are moderate to strong flavors of sweet + tart overripe raspberries. Moderate amounts of lingering tartness.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy with a light to moderate amount of acidic prickliness in the finish.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a smooth creamy mouthfeel with just enough acidic prickliness. Really enjoyable flavors of raspberry + vanilla + marshmallow - reminds me of a raspberry soda with a scoop of vanilla (ice cream float).
